Your Perfect Fit in 3 Simple Steps

Measuring for custom drapery shouldn't feel like a math test. At LoomLuna, we’ve simplified the process so you can focus on the style, while we handle the technical precision.

Step 1: The Width (Horizontal)

Rule: Measure your Hardware, not your Window.

• If you have a Rod or Track: Measure the total length from end to end (excluding decorative finials).

• The LoomLuna Advantage: * For Pleated Styles (Pinch/Euro/Box): Simply order your Rod Width. Our master tailors will automatically add the necessary "Fullness" (2x-2.5x fabric) to create those luxurious folds.

  • For Grommet/Rod Pocket: Order 2x your Rod Width for a rich, gathered look.

Step 2: The Length (Vertical)

Rule: Where do you want the "Waterfall" to start and stop?

• For Pleated Styles (with Hooks): Measure from the bottom of the eyelet ring (where the hook inserts) to the floor.

• For Grommet Styles: Measure from the top of the curtain rod to the floor.

• Pro Tip: Don't worry about being off by an inch! All LoomLuna pleated drapes include 3.5" Adjustable Hooks, allowing you to fine-tune the height after hanging.

Step 3: Choose Your "Drop" Style

Rule: How do you want your curtains to "greet" the floor?

1. The Hover (Modern): Deduct 1/2 inch from your floor measurement. Clean, practical, and easy to vacuum.

2. The Kiss (Designer): Use the exact floor measurement. The panels just graze the floor for a tailored, high-end look.

3. The Puddle (Romantic): Add 2-4 inches to your floor measurement. Creates a dramatic, flowing effect perfect for formal dining rooms or bedrooms.
